One of our favourite dive sites here at Kalliopi Dive College, due to an abundance of swim-throughs, overhangs and caves, located next to the Amphitheatre dive site near Coral Bay. A perfect area to practice navigational and photographic skills. Minimum certification level for this dive is Open Water. For those divers who enjoy swim-throughs, caves and wall dives - this dive site is definitely for you!
With easy access from the shore, and a rock slope entry, you will be guided around rocky craggs and sand patches as we make our way to 'The Pit', a large sand bar surrounded by large boulders and with a rock wall running around the perimeter. The wall offers the chance to capture some photos of some of our smaller local marine life from nudibranchs to some hard corals, before heading round to the 'Rock Valley' here, with a maximum depth of around 20 metres Pistol Bay offers an extremely varied topography.
This dive site offers you the chance to explore an endless amount of great swim-throughs at depths of between 6 to 20 metres with several that stretch out into large caverns. A fantastic introduction for those who would like to enter the world of cave diving. Offering the chance to see a wide range of marine life, from Wrasse to Sea Breams, Sea Bass, Tuna, Loggerhead and Marine Turtles and again the occasional Seal, Trumpet Fish, Barracuda Parrot Fish and even Stingrays.
